Review: Beauty Box 5 October 2014

Hey everyone! Here we go with another Beauty Box 5 review, which is one of the most useful subscription boxes out there. The October BB5 theme is "Effortless Allure," reminding beauty lovers that less is more. All you need is a few pops of color, a useful beauty tool, and moisturized skin!

Beauty Box 5 is a subscription service that sends out 5 beauty products each month. The box is $12 a month for a month-to-month subscription, but you can save money if you buy a quarterly or yearly subscription. Overall, the value is always there!

Chapstick Hydration Lock (full size, $2.99)

It's no secret that I'm a lip balm fiend. I love the feeling of a balm on my lips, and I feel naked without it! This double-ended Chapstick features two conditioning formulas to smooth, protect, and soothe your lips. I am very impressed with the results from this balm.

Lashem Picture Perfect (sample size, $13.00)

This is a nourishing serum that works to reduce wrinkles and fine lines on the face. It also gives the skin a pretty, fresh glow. BB5 also suggests trying it as a foundation primer. Love this idea! I am always up for multipurpose products.

Extend Your Beauty cosmetic tool (full size, $5.49)

I have been wanting a beauty spatula for a while, but I never got around to purchasing one! Needless to say, I was thrilled to see this in my BB5. This spatula helps you get every last drop of your favorite products - lotion, foundation, cream blush, you name it! It's also dishwasher-safe. Score!

Nanacoco nail polish in Mermaid Lake (full size, $3.95)

This polish is a gorgeous, shimmery blue-green. The name is truly perfect! The formula is thick and dries relatively fast. I will keep this around for the spring because I think it would be a great pedi color!

Bellapierre Cosmetics cheek and lip stain in Pink (full size, $19.99)

This stan is another multipurpose product. It can be used as a blush or as a lip stain. BB5 recommends using your finger tip, but I plan to use my ELF small stippling brush to apply this to my cheeks. This will help to avoid bacteria forming in the pot. I love the color of this because it instantly wakes up my face!

RECAP:

The October BB5 has a value of about $45. For only $12/month, this is an amazing value! I definitely recommend subscribing to BB5 if you love beauty products or need some essentials in your collection. My favorite products this month are the Extend Your Beauty tool and the Bellapierre lip and cheek stain. I can't wait to keep using these products! Keep an eye on my blog for next month's review.
